In this study combinatorial and high-throughput methods were applied to design catalysts for the transformation of propane to acrylic acid. V-Mo-Te-Nb containing catalysts were modified with 8 different components. Five catalysts generations were prepared and tested. The best hit had 58 % yield of acrylic acid at 73 % conversion.
