In alcohols dehydrogenation over Pt/Al2O3-CeO2 catalysts, it is present a change in selectivity towards dehydration reaction above 230°C due to a loss of activity. This temperature is shifted to higher values as the amount of ceria increases, probably due to the competition of ceria to chemisorb the intermediate oxygenate compounds.
