Effect of Pd and Ni Particle Size on the Partial Oxidation of Methane Reaction Rate

Partial oxidation of methane was investigated on Pd/Al₂O₃, Pd/TiO₂, and Ni/Al₂O₃ to determine the scaling of methane activation rate to the perimeter or area indicating the site methane activation occurs. Thus, providing insight into CH₄ activation and may be useful in catalyst design for controlling the selectivity in CH₄-based reactions.
