Two - step postsynthesis procedure was applied to obtain an excellent red-C-AgxNiySiBEA zeolite catalysts for complete hydrodechlorination of 1,2-dichloroethane to ethylene, desired product of this reaction. In contrast, conventional wet impregnation allowed to prepare red-C-AgxNiyHAlBEA zeolite catalysts active in conversion of 1,2-dichloroethane into vinyl chloride, second desired product.
