Material with palladium nano particles intercalated in the wall of mesoporous silica (PdMS) was successfully synthesized with sol-gel process. The PdMS material was proven to be stable at temperature as high as 1000 °C and represent a new paradigm for imparting robustness to nanoparticles for catalytic applications.
