The surface chemistry during aqueous phase reforming of glycerol and glucose over Pt/ɣ-Al2Owas studied using in-situ attenuated total reflection IR spectroscopy. Surface intermediates were identified and the kinetics for their formation and consumption were investigated. The results showed that Pt/ɣ-Al2Ocontains sites with distinct differences in there activity.
