Direct Oxidative Carboxylation of Olefins for Synthesis of Organic Carbonates

A direct one pot oxidative carboxylation protocol utilizing a catalytic cascade approach for the synthesis of cyclic organic carbonates from olefins has been developed. Metal salen catalysts grafted on a solid support were used for carrying out the transformation in a liquid phase flow reactor.
