Sorption-enhanced chemical looping reforming is an innovative concept aiming at the production of pure H2 and sequestration-ready CO2 stream with minimum energy requirements. We report here results from studies with NiO-based oxygen carriers in which the effect of support material is investigated under conventional and chemical looping reforming conditions.
