This work demonstrates the application of engineering principles to design catalyst with tunable activity and selectivity properties and to further the advancement of NH3slip catalyst technology to mitigate the diesel engine emissions. The observed trade-off between NH3 conversion and N2 yield due to addition of SCR layer above Pt/Al2O3 will be explained.
