Pure and Cerium-doped TiO2 were prepared by sol-gel process using titanium isopropoxide, isopropanol and distilled water. The catalysts were characterized by XRD and UV-RD. Photocatalytic degradation of 4-chlorophenol experiments were carried out under visible and ultraviolet light. The cerium incorporation into the structure of titanium oxide improved its photocatalytic properties.
