Development of a Novel Magnetically Recyclable Nano-MoS2 Catalyst for Hydrodesulfurization

Novel superparamagnetic MoS2/SiO2/Fe3O4 catalysts were prepared. In the  hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of DBT, DDS pathway was found to be highly dominant, which is distinct from supported catalyst. With the magnetic properties, the catalyst can be easily separated from the reaction media via an external applied magnetic field and be reused again.
