Methane Oxidation over Palladium Oxide from First Principles

The preferred phase for facile methane oxidation over palladium has by DFT together with in situ SXRD and HPXPS been determined to be PdO(101). From DFT, a complete micro-kinetic model has been constructed for the reaction. The results give the reaction mechanisms together with reaction orders and apparent activation energies.
