Gold nanoparticles supported on doped TiO₂-Ni sol-gel were tested for the first time as catalyst in the water gas shift reaction. The performance of Au/TiO2-Ni catalyst represents an effective and stable material for the hydrogen purification/production at low temperature with a CO conversion percent of 80%.
