Ballroom B (Lawrence Convention Center)
A systematic DFT analysis of activity and stability differences between slab surfaces and nanoparticles of sizes from 0.53 to 1.93 nm is done on Nicore-Ptshell and (Ni-M)core-Ptshell structures (M= Re, Ru, or Rh). Results include segregation trends of core atoms to oxidized surfaces and stability against dissolution in acid medium.
