Co-Mn/Al₂O₃ catalysts prepared by different methods were compared to a Co/Al₂O₃ catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch production of light olefins. Characterization was done by H₂ chemisorption, TPR and XPS. The Co-Mn catalysts were more selective towards light olefins and more active. Complementary DFT results agreed with the experimental data.
