Ethylene works as a plant hormone to promote plant growth. Elimination of trace ethylene at low temperature is important for reducing food loss. We have found that Pt nanoparticles supported on MCM-41 serve as an excellent catalyst for complete oxidation of ethylene at low temperature with high activity and durability.
