O-F-A-2 Correlation Between Coordination Chemistry and Aldose Isomerization Characteristics of Metal Chlorides in a Chloride-Based Ionic Liquid

We employed FIR as an in-situ tool to follow the progress of the coordination chemistry changes of four classes of metal chlorides during glucose conversion.  Distinctively different coordination chemistries of the metal ions with chloride and with different oxygen sources are well correlated to their catalytic performances in [BMIM]Cl.
