The performance of molecular sieve catalysts can be improved by applying efficient screening methods that provide both the kinetics and active site properties simultaneously. Here, a study of the n-paraffin hydroconversion was performed, and it is shown that effective acid strength can be measured from parameters measured under reaction conditions.
