Photo-thermal catalysis for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis was studied for the first time. The results suggest that the catalytic activity was governed by the thermal catalysis while the product distribution could be tuned by photo catalysis, which may open a new way for breaking the ASF rule to obtain desired products.
