This talk will present how the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells can be enhanced by using hybrid architectures constructued using nanowires and nanoparticles. The fundamental concepts is based on fast electron transport in nanowires and provides a new way of tuning the electron transfer kinetics at nanoparticle or nanowire interfaces.
