Photoelectrochemistry and Surface Science of Iron Oxide Surfaces

Systematic investigations on different surfaces (FeO, Fe₃O₄, and Fe₂O₃), with and without multilayers of H₂O, were carried out using TPD, XPS, LEED and STM to develop a molecular level understanding of the surface chemistry, exploring reactions in light and dark, and determining differences in the thermal and photochemical reaction pathways.
