Understanding Carbon-Catalyzed Cellulose Hydrolysis to Glucose

We provide the first demonstration of constraining glucans via their adsorption on to carbon, and, independently demonstrate large enhancements on rate of constrained glucan hydrolysis, where catalytic rate of hydrolysis is controlled by the degree to which the glucan is constrained.
