O-Tu-BRA-9 Ni Catalysts for Steam Gasification of Biomass: Catalyst Screening

Highly active and stable Ni catalysts for steam gasification of biomass were developed by proper selection of promoters and preparation conditions. The fluidizable Ni/La2O3-γAl2O3 catalyst allows 100% glucose conversion without detectable tar and coke formation, and reduced tars formation from lignin gasification to as low as 11% at 650 0C.
