On-line Deoxygenation of Cellulose Pyrolysis Vapors in a Staged Autothermal Reactor

Catalytic pyrolysis can convert biomass to a more energy dense bio-oil, and this bio-oil can be deoxygenated by bi-functional platinum/zeolite catalysts.  This research demonstrates the heat integration of these two processes in a single pipe, two stage autothermal reactor.
