Challenges in Gasification of Biomass Waste Stream

Major challenges in steam reforming of waste biomass to green fuels are related to (i) loss of hydrogen, syngas yields due to formation of alkanes and (ii) stability of the catalysts. Problems and solutions are discussed in terms of chemistry that occurs on these catalysts.
