P-W-Cle-17 In situ Small-Angle X-Ray Scattering/X-Ray Absorption Study: Stabilization of Nanocatalyst by ALD Overcoat

In situ SAXS/GISAXS and XAS were employed to monitor the particle size growth under reaction conditions. The results suggest that surface modification by metal oxides overcoat facilitates longer catalyst life by forming porous layers that stabilize noble metal nanoparticles from sintering but still permit access to the metal surface.
