Apart from TEM, EDX and XPS, neutron scattering was used to characterize different supported palladium based catalysts. The focus of this work was to find a possible correlation between the characterization results (morphology of the metal particles, hydrogen adsorption ability etc.) and the catalytic activity in selective hydrogenation of nitroarenes.
