Research described in this paper aimed to produce catalysts with Pt dispersed onto Mo2C supported on Al2O3. The results indicate that the synthesis methods were effective in selectively but partially covering the Mo2C domains with Pt, and interactions between Pt and Mo2C resulted in highly active water gas shift catalysts.
