The mechanism of HC-SCR is complex and several theories have been proposed for the activating role of H2 over Ag-Al2O3. A better understanding of the role of H2 on the chemistry of NOx over Ag/Al2O3 can elucidate the H2 effect on Ag/Al2O3.
