Theory of Alkyl Adsorption on Transition Metal Surfaces: Effects of Metal Composition and Adsorbate Structure

We propose modifications to both the d-band model and scaling relations to improve their accuracy and scope. The resulting models are useful for screening catalytic surfaces, and we apply them to hydrocarbons and atomic H on a wide variety of transition metal surfaces.
