Rh-based Mixed Alcohols Catalysts: A Computational Study on the Effect of Carbon versus Silica Supports

During research to develop Rh based catalysts to produce C₂ oxygenates we found that the support had a major effect on catalyst behavior. We combined catalyst characterization and computational modeling to understand how different supports affect cluster structure and metal distribution in a catalyst containing Rh, Mn and Ir.
