O-F-Seg-7 Catalytic Hydrodeoxygenation of Lignin Derived Compounds: Synergic Effect between Pd and Fe

A synergic catalysis between Pd and Fe was found in catalytic hydrodeoxygenation of lignin derived phenolic compounds over Pd-on-Fe nanostructure, with significant improvement of activity and high selectivity towards aromatics. The mechanism for this chemistry was investigated via a combination of experimental and theoretical approaches.
