Here we show a new UV-Vis/IR approach for the in-situ monitoring of the reaction intermediates during methanol-to-olefins reaction. The results, show how IR monitor the formation of reaction intermediates, coke species and dynamics of acidity. Additionally, UV/Vis assists in the identification of reaction intermediates by providing information about aromatic species.
