FeCrAlloy rods were thermally pre-treated and dip-coated to generate a layer thickness of γ-Al2O3 catalyst. This was studied using a range of analytical techniques, and as a catalyst in a dehydrogenation of Methylcyclohexane reaction.
Results indicted a well-adhered coating of γ-Al2O3, offering moderate conversion rates and significantly improved heat transfer.
