O-M-BRB-4 Design of High-performance Heterogeneous Biocatalyst Using Oil-filled Spherical Silica Nanoparticles as Supports

Lipase enzyme was embedded within spherical silica nanoparticles with oil-filled core–shell structure via an anionic surfactant-induced self-assembly approach. The enzyme embedded within such architecture retained all of its activity and showed high catalytic performance both in water and in organic media with optimal stability and recyclability.
