This presentation will describe our work in using single-molecule, super-resolution fluorescence microscopy to study catalysis by single nanoparticles at the single-turnover resolution and nanometer precision. We can spatially resolve reactions on a single catalytic particle, directly visualizing site-specific catalytic activity and uncovering complex reactivity patterns (Nature Nanotechnology 2012, 7, 237).
