O-W-Jon-1 Nanoscale 3D Imaging and Quantification of Pt/Zeolite Y Hydrocracking Catalysts

A comprehensive electron tomography study of industrially relevant Pt-zeolite catalysts revealed thousands of ~1nm Pt particles well distributed throughout the zeolite crystalline regions. Image analysis of tomograms enabled reliable and effective quantitative assessment of Pt size distribution, particle-particle distances and surprisingly large variations in Pt loading between individual zeolite crystals.
