Control over the nanospatial distribution of supported metal particles is a powerful strategy to improve catalyst stability. Image analysis of Electron Tomograms allows the pore-specific quantification of nanoparticle size and 3D spacing and opens the door towards description of particle growth in 3D supported catalysts exposed to relevant reaction conditions.
