Dimeric manganese oxide complexes are immobilized onto supports containing carboxylic acids, mimicking structures that assemble in solution for homogeneous catalysts; structures are verified by XAS and UV-vis. In alkene epoxidation at low temperature, these robust catalysts show higher rates and productivities, and new avenues for tuning, vs. their homogeneous analogues.
