SCR catalysts have been shown to have catalytic activity on the mercury oxidation. Oxidized mercury is soluble in water and is effectively removed in a wet scrubber. Laboratory experiments are carried out in the present study as a means for studying the kinetics of the mercury oxidation across SCR catalyst.
