P-Tu-149 Performance of Ag-promoted Pd/Al2O3 catalysts prepared by surface redox method in the selective hydrogenation of acetylene

Ag-promoted Pd catalysts prepared by adding Ag to Pd/Al2O3 using a surface redox method showed higher ethylene selectivities in acetylene hydrogenation than those prepared by adding Ag using an impregnation method, because Pd in the former catalysts was efficiently modified by Ag due to a better Pd-Ag contact.
