A possible on-board system for lean NOx reduction, combining an autothermal reformer and HC-SCR over Ag/Al2O3, is investigated from a system approach, considering parameters such as C/N-ratio, H2 and CO feed concentration and Pt-doping of the Ag/Al2O3 catalyst. Also temperature and fuel penalty is considered.
