P-We-133 Synthesis of gamma-Butyrolactone from 1,4-Butanediol over Copper-based Catalysts

The effects of chrome addition on the catalytic activity over copper-based catalyst in synthesis of γ-Butyrolactone through dehydrocyclization of 1,4-butanediol. The catalysis containing 1.0 wt% of chrome showed the highest yield. The addition of 1 wt% of chrome increased the copper surface area and the amount of acid sites.
