P-Mo-80 Structural Comparison of Acid and Base Set Silica Gels From TEOS

Recent vibrational spectroscopic data provided the first experimental evidence that silica gels made from alkaline silicates by different methods might have different structures at the molecular level.  Here we show that distinct molecular structures can also be identified in gels made from TEOS to obtain desirable physical properties.
