The catalytic partial oxidation of ethanol iso-octane blends on Rh coated catalysts is studied. The applicability in auxiliary power units is evaluated by the hydrogen and the by-product selectivity. All blends show over 80 % hydrogen selectivity. By‑product selectivity rises for the same conditions with increasing ethanol percentage in the blend.
