We demonstrate a combination of in situ UV-Vis and Confocal Fluorescence Micro-spectroscopy, to non-invasively investigate in 3-D, the influence of Brønsted acid site density and binder effects on catalytic reactivity and selectivity, in both partially (residual Na) and fully proton-exchanged ZSM-5-based SiO2- and Al2O3-bound extrudates.
