Bimetallic AuPt, AuPd, and PtPd catalysts uniform in size and composition were prepared by colloidal methods. Surface residues were removed after deposition onto SiO₂ by low temperature treatment in H₂. The effects of alloying on surface composition and catalytic reactivity are discussed.
