P-Tu-B-182 Biofuel Production By Hydrodeoxygenation of 2-Methylfuran over a Pd-Fe/Al2O3 Bimetallic Catalyst

In this work the synthesis and characterization of new bimetallic Pd-Fe nanocatalysts supported on alumina and its application in catalytic hydrogenation of 2-methylfuran for synthesize 2-pentanol, which is an alternative biofuel, are presented. Also, the influence of the reduction temperature in the selectivity towards 2-pentanol was studied.
