Passive SCR has shown promise in reducing NOX emissions for lean burn engines. NH3 production is essential to the implementation of passive SCR. The effects of hydrothermal aging on NH3 production have been examined for three potential passive SCR catalysts and the results have been compared to fresh catalysts.
