A predictive model is developed that captures the impact of hydrothermal aging on a Pt/Pd catalyst. For a 72 hour hydrothermal aging, model predicted that surface metals concentration reduced from 0.312 1016 to 0.253 1016. Reaction rate constant was reduced by ~20% compared to that of fresh catalyst and ultimately TPO conversion dropped by ~10%.
